Day 1

Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park – The Land of Elephants

🚗 Drive Time: ~2.5 hours (120 km)

  • After breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife.
  • Enjoy a full-day game drive where you may encounter lions, leopards, giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras.
  • Have a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive.
  • Arrive at Eileen’s Tree Inn in Karatu for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3

Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park

🚗 Drive Time: ~1 hour (50 km)

  • Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and diverse ecosystems.
  • Spend the day exploring the woodland, savanna, and the soda lake, home to large flocks of flamingos, baboons, and elephants.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Eileen’s Tree Inn for the evening.

Day 4

Karatu to Serengeti – Wildlife Paradise

🚗 Drive Time: ~4-5 hours (220 km)

  • After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, where you’ll embark on your first game drive en route to the Central Serengeti.
  • The Central Serengeti is known for its year-round abundance of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
  • Arrive at Serengeti pure luxury Camp, an eco-friendly luxury camp offering comfort in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 5

Full Day in Serengeti – The Migration or Big Cats

  • Spend the entire day in the Serengeti, either witnessing the Great Migration (seasonal) or focusing on the area’s big cats, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Day 6

Serengeti national park - Ngorongoro crater

  • In the early morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest volcanic calderas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 7

Karatu - Arusha

  • Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight home, marking the end of your Tanzania adventure.
