Jema Safaris & Tours – Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Jema Safaris & Tours Company Limited. By booking a safari or other travel services with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Booking and Confirmation
1.1 All bookings must be made in writing via email or through our official website.
1.2 A booking is confirmed only after Jema Safaris receives the required deposit and issues a written confirmation.
1.3 Prices are subject to availability at the time of booking and may change without prior notice.
2. Payment
2.1 A deposit of 30 % is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to the safari start date.
2.2 Payments can be made via bank transfer, mobile money, or other methods agreed upon with Jema Safaris.
2.3 All payments must be made in USD unless otherwise agreed.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancellations must be submitted in writing.
3.2 Cancellation charges are as follows:
- More than 60 days before departure: 15% of the total price
- 30–60 days before departure: 25% of the total price
4. Changes to Bookings
4.1 Jema Safaris will make every effort to accommodate reasonable changes to itineraries.
4.2 Additional costs incurred due to changes are the responsibility of the client.
5. Travel Insurance and Health
5.1 All clients are strongly advised to have comprehensive travel insurance covering:
- Medical emergencies
- Evacuation
- Trip cancellation
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
5.2 Jema Safaris is not responsible for medical costs, injuries, or losses incurred during the safari.
5.3 Vaccinations and health precautions are the responsibility of the client. Please consult your doctor or travel clinic prior to travel.
6. Visa and Passport Requirements
6.1 It is the responsibility of the traveler to obtain the necessary visas and ensure passports are valid for at least six months beyond the date of travel.
6.2 Jema Safaris can provide guidance for visa applications but is not responsible for visa denials or delays.
7. Safari and Tour Services
7.1 Safari itineraries may include game drives, walking safaris, cultural visits, and other activities.
7.2 Jema Safaris reserves the right to adjust itineraries due to weather, road conditions, park regulations, or safety concerns.
7.3 All safari participants must comply with park rules, guide instructions, and safety protocols.
8. Liability
8.1 Jema Safaris acts only as an agent for services such as transportation, accommodation, or activities.
8.2 We do not accept liability for personal injury, loss, damage, or delays caused by third-party suppliers, animals, natural events, or acts of God.
8.3 Clients participate in activities at their own risk and are responsible for personal safety and property.
9. Force Majeure
9.1 Jema Safaris is not liable for failure to provide services caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Political unrest
- Epidemics or pandemics
- Transportation strikes or delays
- Weather conditions
10. Code of Conduct
10.1 Clients are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, fellow travelers, and local communities.
10.2 Jema Safaris reserves the right to terminate services without refund in case of misconduct or unsafe behavior.
11. Photography and Media
11.1 Jema Safaris may use photos or videos taken during safaris for promotional purposes.
11.2 If clients do not wish to be photographed, they must notify us in writing before the safari.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
12.2 Any disputes arising from bookings or services shall be resolved in the competent courts of Tanzania.
