F.A.Q

When is the best time to visit Zanzibar?

The best time to visit Zanzibar is during the dry season, which is from June to October. During this time, you can expect clear skies, warm weather, and lots of sunshine.

Here are some other things to consider when planning your trip to Zanzibar:
  • Rainy season
Zanzibar has two rainy seasons: a short rainy season in November and December, and a longer rainy season from mid-March to the end of May. The longer rainy season is more unpredictable, and some hotels may be closed.

  • Cost
October and November are the cheapest months to fly to Zanzibar, and April and November are the cheapest months for accommodation.

  • Safari season
The dry season also coincides with safari high season in Tanzania, making Zanzibar a popular choice after a safari.

  • Spice plantations
July to September is a good time to visit the spice plantations and see the spice clove harvests.

  • Activities
Popular activities include snorkeling, diving, sunset sailing, and exploring Stone Town.

Zanzibar is a popular tourist destination year-round, and you can visit any month from late June to late March.
