F.A.Q

When is the best time to visit?

The best time to visit Serengeti National Park in Tanzania depends on what you want to see and do, but you can have a great experience any time of year:

    • Dry season (June–October)
The best time for wildlife viewing, with the Great Migration at its peak. Animals gather around waterholes and rivers, and you can see mega-herds of wildebeest. However, it's also the most crowded time to visit.

    • Wet season (November–May)
The park is less crowded, and accommodations are usually cheaper. However, you should bring appropriate clothing and weatherproof your technology and camera.

  • January–March
The Ndutu Plains are especially popular during this time, and February is the best time to see the wildebeest calving season.

  • Birthing season
The wet season brings the birthing season, when the landscape is lush and green.
