Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Tanzania
Transfer to Arusha 
Overnight at Planet Lodge

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Jema Safaris representative and transferred to the charming Arusha Coffee Lodge. Set within one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations, this boutique lodge offers a peaceful escape with views of Mount Meru. Settle in and unwind, or enjoy a stroll through the lush gardens before dinner.

Drive to Tarangire National Park
Overnight at Eileen's Trees Inn

Drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds, this park offers a wild, off-the-beaten-path safari experience. Enjoy expertly guided game drives, sundowners overlooking the river.  The slower pace and fewer crowds make Tarangire a hidden gem.

Head to Lake Manyara, home to tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and lush groundwater forests. After a half-day game drive, continue to the Karatu highlands for a peaceful evening.

Today, you’ll enjoy a full day exploring the Serengeti, tracking big cats, herds of wildebeest and zebra, elephants, and perhaps a cheetah on the hunt. Optional: add a sunrise hot air balloon safari for a bird’s-eye view of the wild.

  • Early game drive en route out of the Serengeti

  • Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge

  • Overnight at Hhando Coffee Lodge near Crater rim

After breakfast and a morning drive, continue toward the lush Ngorongoro highlands, rich in scenery and cultural history. Settle into your lodge and prepare for tomorrow’s crater descent.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

  • Early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater

  • Game drive on the crater floor

  • Return to Arusha

  • Overnight at Planet Lodge (or optional airport drop-off)

Spend the morning in one of the world’s most concentrated wildlife areas – the Ngorongoro Crater. Home to lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, and rhinos, the crater offers unmatched wildlife viewing in a dramatic setting.
