Tarangire National Park

Following an early breakfast, you'll set off for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that traverses it. This river serves as the primary water source for wildlife in the area during the dry season, earning it the nickname "river of warthogs." The park boasts dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. It's renowned for its elephant families often seen gathering by the river, alongside giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These herbivores attract a variety of predators, including lions and leopards. Tarangire National Park is also home to more breeding species of birds than any other place on Earth. It's an ideal location to observe these majestic creatures in their natural environment, from the adorable calves to the formidable bulls. After lunch and an extensive game drive, you'll journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands, arriving late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

Central Serengeti National Park

After enjoying an early breakfast, you'll embark on a drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, continuing onward to Serengeti National Park with a game viewing drive along the way. Serengeti National Park is globally renowned as the most iconic wildlife sanctuary, celebrated for its natural splendour and scientific significance. Each year, over a million wildebeest and approximately 200,000 zebras migrate south from the northern hills to the southern plains during the short rains of October and November, before journeying west and north following the long rains of April, May, and June. This migration, driven by ancient instincts, remains unstoppable despite challenges such as droughts, gorges, and crocodile-infested rivers. The Serengeti is the epicentre of the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration, attracting safari enthusiasts seeking an authentic African safari experience. The park has been featured prominently in numerous National Geographic documentaries. You'll reach Embalakai Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

North Serengeti National Park

The northern region of the Serengeti encompasses vast, pristine areas characterized by wooded rolling hills interspersed with open grassy patches and large granite outcrops. This part of the park, situated between the Central Serengeti and Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve to the north, provides an opportunity to escape the crowds. Due to its remote and relatively inaccessible nature, it receives fewer visitors. Travelers who venture to this corner of the Serengeti are treated to stunning landscapes featuring lush green hills, prominent granite outcrops, acacia woodlands scattered across open savannas, and abundant wildlife. Of particular note are the massive herds of wildebeests and zebras undertaking the perilous Mara River crossing during the Great Migration, occurring in June and July, as well as September, October, and November. Your meals and overnight accommodations will be provided at carefully selected establishments.
